Use of AI in Scholarly Publishing
The journal "Trends in Scholarly Publishing" is pleased to invite submissions for its upcoming special issue on "The Use of AI in Scholarly Publishing." This peer-reviewed, open-access journal is dedicated to exploring the evolving landscape of scholarly communication and welcomes contributions from researchers, editors, publishers, and industry professionals worldwide.
This special issue aims to spotlight the rapidly growing role of artificial intelligence (AI) in reshaping scholarly publishing workflows, enhancing quality, and addressing the challenges of modern academic communication.
We welcome high-quality original research, case studies, reviews, and opinion pieces examining the impact of AI in scholarly publishing. Relevant topics include, but are not limited to:
- AI-powered tools for manuscript editing, peer review, and publishing workflows.
- Enhancing transparency, efficiency, and decision-making through AI technologies.
- Ethical challenges and considerations in AI-assisted scholarly publishing.
- AI’s role in improving content discoverability, accessibility, and reader engagement.
- Applications of AI in data analysis, visualization, and research presentation.
- Real-world case studies of AI tool implementation in publishing.

We welcome diverse viewpoints and encourage submissions from academia, publishing professionals, and technology experts.
No Publication Charges
To promote open access and inclusive participation, no Article Processing or Publication Charges (APC) will be applied to this special issue.

Manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere. All submissions will undergo rigorous peer review. Please follow the submission guidelines available on the Trends in Scholarly Publishing website.
