Responsibilities of the Editorial Board
An active and respected Editorial Board is the backbone of a successful journal. Members contribute in the following ways:
- Provide scientific expertise and guidance to shape the journal's scope and policies.
- Submit articles and encourage colleagues to contribute.
- Recommend and refine field-specific editorial policies.
- Actively advocate the journal worldwide through professional networks, conferences, and social media.
- Promote awareness by highlighting the journal and encouraging colleagues to sign up for article alerts.
- Expand the Reviewer Database by inviting skilled researchers.
- Act as ambassadors of the journal, fostering credibility and visibility.
- Recommend and invite distinguished scientists to join the Editorial Board.
- Offer expert input during integrity investigations.
- Suggest topics for special issues and thematic collections.
- Provide content (e.g., short articles or occasional editorials).
- Approach potential contributors and help build a strong network of authors and reviewers.
- Oversee the editorial process, including the final decision on manuscripts after peer review and revisions.
- Promote the journal at conferences and scholarly events.
Promoting the Journal at Conferences
Board members are encouraged to introduce TSP while attending national and international conferences. This may include:
- Displaying promotional material on tables or poster boards.
- Preparing a short presentation about the journal to share with colleagues.
- Meeting with researchers to discuss the benefits of publishing in TSP.
- If speaking at a conference, displaying a tailored journal promotion slide at the end of presentations.
Suggesting New Editorial Board Members
