Article Processing Charges (APC) Information

Trends in Scholarly Publishing publishes all articles in a comprehensive open-access format, operating under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0) . This enables unrestricted, cost-free, and immediate access to scholarly articles for the scientific community and the general public. Moreover, this license permits the content to be reused, provided that appropriate acknowledgment is given to the original source.

To promote equitable access and wider dissemination of knowledge, Trends in Scholarly Publishing does not charge any Article Processing Charges (APCs). Authors are not required to pay fees for submission, peer review, acceptance, or publication of their manuscripts. All services, from editorial handling to final publication, are offered free of cost.

This zero-APC model is monitored and overseen by the Asian Council of Science Editors (ACSE) to ensure sustainability, transparency, and continued support of high-quality publishing standards.

  • DOI Assignment: Allocation of Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) for permanent citation and discoverability.
  • Indexing and Abstracting Support: Efforts to include published articles in indexing and abstracting databases to maximize visibility.
  • Open Access Licensing: Application of Creative Commons licenses to ensure free sharing, reuse, and proper attribution of scholarly content.
