Dear Colleagues,

I am delighted to announce the launch of Trends in Scholarly Publishing (TSP) , a peer-reviewed and open-access journal that aims to provide a platform for research communications that encourage and recognize responsible behaviors.

TSP is the official flagship journal of the Asian Council of Science Editors , synchronizing scholarly communications of the Asian region to one platform, and providing a vast library of scholarly publishing and related trends in Asia. It is designed to be easily accessible for submitting manuscripts and viewing valuable content.

The West is recognized as the front runner of scientific research due to its up-to-date editorial policies, scientific information, and technical aids; and yet, about one-quarter of the world's publications are from Asia, while about one-third of all scientific researchers worldwide are Asian. Therefore, it's the need of the hour to provide a unified platform for the latest updates, new industry initiatives, survey reports, industry solutions, and, especially, discuss the current problems and future technological, and economical challenges of the scholarly publishing community of Asia.

Trends in Scholarly Publishing have set significant standards for publishing. We aim to publish cutting-edge, innovative, conceptually interesting, original, innovative research papers with technically analyzed and accepted methodologies. The criteria put special emphasis on relevance to readers, presentation clarity, and high ethical standards. The strict policies ensure a valuable scientific experience for the viewers.

The passing of acceptance criteria puts the article through the keen eyes of the Editorial Board, which is the backbone of our journal. TSP comprises highly qualified expert board members, who have been selected through a rigorous process maintaining high standards.

TSP provides a competitive environment for its published content. All submitted manuscripts are available to the reviewer database and at least two independent reviewers review one manuscript. The Editor-in-Chief's final decision is based on the advice of the expert board members. Strict compliance with the policies and principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics ensures high-quality scientific standards.

The journal welcomes submissions from everyone involved in scholarly & scientific communications. TSP expeditiously provides peer-reviewed research, updates, and opinions for publishers, vendors, librarians, academics, and researchers globally to improve research dissemination.

TSP is available online via SciOne since April 2021. Print on Demand service is available for anyone requesting a printed version. The original research, case studies, and industry updates, etc is published two times per year.

We hope to make Trends in Scholarly Publishing a skilled, creative, and leading online research disseminator's platform to better facilitate the scholarly publishing community of Asia.
